Types of Punctuation for Class 3 with Examples:-

Capital Letter: The name of a person or place and the first letter of a sentence begin with a capital letter. In the above example Sita is a name and the first letter of the sentence.

Full Stop: At the end of a sentence ‘.’ or full stop. It also indicates the beginning of a new sentence. Furthermore, it implies that it is a statement or an ending.

Question Mark: If someone wants to have a conversation or want to ask something, a question mark is used in the conversation. In the above example, the question mark or ‘?’ It shows whether the book is written by the author or someone else and shows that the person is unsure about it.

Comma: A comma or ‘,’ is used whenever a writer wants to show object separation or punctuation in a sentence. For example, Ram, Sita, Ravana and Lanka are four major novel series by Amish Tripathi.
